Waltham Mrs. Domenica J. Mimi Hurley, of Waltham, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Newton-Wellesley Alzheimers Center, Wellesley. She was 81. She was the wife of the late John J. Hurley, Jr. who died in 1983. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Santo and Josephine (DiGiuseppe) Aliseo, Mimi was a graduate of Waltham High School and had been a lifelong resident. She had worked as a nurses aide at Varnum Park Nursing Home and at Lee Nursing Home in Waltham. After that she worked for several years in the cafeteria at the Raytheon Company. Mimi was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and will be remembered by them as a warm, loving, kind and generous woman who always gave of herself. Mimi leaves her children, Sandra J. Cassella, Daniel P. Hurley, both of Waltham, Susan A. Logue and her husband, Edward, of North Walpole and Philip R. Hurley and his wife, Karen, of Billerica; 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late John J. Hurley, III and sister of the late Basil Babe, Philip, and Gaetano Aliseo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Tuesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
