Waltham Mr. Donald A. MacLean, of Waltham, died Sunday, May 6, 2007 at his home. He was 72. Born in Hyannis, a son of the late James and Juliette (Brunnelle) MacLean, Don lived in Waltham for most of his life. He was a graduate of Saint Marys High School in Waltham. After high school, Don served with the United States Navy and until his retirement, he was a firefighter with the Waltham Fire Department. He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors Society and had been the proprietor of MacLean Landscaping Company in Waltham. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Barbara M. (Iodice) MacLean; his children, James A. MacLean and his wife, Patricia, of Cadyville, New York, Jeannine M. MacDowell and her husband, Scott, of Marlborough, Jeffrey M. MacLean and his wife, Brenda, and Jennifer R. MacLean, all of Waltham; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Joseph and Lindsay MacLean. Don was also the brother of the late Norman MacLean. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 p.m. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
