Waltham Mr. Donald J. Manning of Waltham died Thursday, September 8, 2005 at the Stanley R. Tippett Home, Needham. He was 76. A lifelong resident of Waltham, Mr. Manning was the son of the late George and Mary (Roach) Manning. He was an attorney for many years in private practice in Waltham. He served on the Waltham City Council for thirty-five years, representing Ward 6 and had been a State Representative serving Waltham for twenty years. Mr. Manning was also House Counsel at the Massachusetts State House for ten years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, #1018 in Waltham, and enjoyed tennis, chess, golf, and playing the piano. He was also a Korean War veteran serving with the U.S. Army. He was the brother of the late George E. Manning, Henry F. Manning and Shirley A. Buckley. He leaves his wife, Pauline E. Polly (Kondrup) Manning; three daughters, DawnMarie Cheryl Manning of Waltham, Robbin M. Pinkham and Donna J. Gooch, both of Ashland; one sister, Mary Pauline Manning of Waltham; his special dog, Herky; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Marys Church, 133 School Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to The Stanley R.
