SHREWSBURY - Mr. Donald W. Murray died at home on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was 95.
Donald was born on April 10, 1926 in Somerville a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Morgan) Murray. A graduate of Somerville High School he earned his Bachelor's degree from Boston College. Donald served in the United States Army during World War II. He met Norway native, Inger Ljunggren at the end of the war and they married on February 6, 1948 in the Lutheran Church in Asker, Norway. He had been a Shrewsbury resident since 1959.
He was the northeast sales manager for Borden Ice-cream for over 40 years, retiring in 1990.
Donald was a member and past grand-master of the Matthew John Whittall Lodge A.F. & A.M. and in earlier years loved the game of golf.
Donald was predeceased by his children, Wayne Murray and Mona Kempka and his brother, Richard Murray.
He leaves his wife of 73 years, Inger and their daughter, Alexandra (Murray) Sokolowski of Shrewsbury; nieces & nephews.
