Donald E. Richardson

Waltham – Mr. Donald E. Richardson, of Waltham, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Concord Health Care Center. He was 79.

Don was born in Waltham on February 7, 1936, a son of the late Earle P. and Thelma B. (Jones) Richardson, and had been a lifelong resident. A 1954 graduate of Waltham High School he continued his education at Bridgton Academy before entering the University of Maine at Orono, graduating in 1959.

He worked all his life as an electrical contractor in Waltham and had been a member of the Waltham Triad Lodge, A.F. & A.M.

He leaves his children, Linda J. Negus and her husband, Russell, of Mansfield, Stephen D. Richardson and his wife, Carolyn, of Barrington, Rhode Island and James P. Richardson and his wife, Deirdre, of Concord; his sister, Shirley Reiss of Weston and seven grandchildren.

Family and friends will honor and remember Don's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, March 22nd from 2 to 5 p.m. and again on Monday morning when his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Newton Cemetery.
