Doris (Cormier) Caissie

Mrs. Doris (Cormier) Caissie, of Lincoln, Rhode Island, formerly of Waltham, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020 in Golden Crest Nursing Centre in North Providence, Rhode Island. She was 89.

Doris was born on June 19, 1930 in Sainte-Marie Parish, New Brunswick, Canada, a daughter of the late Alfred and Rosanne (LeBlanc) Cormier. Raised in Canada she immigrated to the United States in 1952. She later returned to her native Canada in 1993 and back to Waltham in 2006. She moved to Rhode Island in 2015 to be closer to family.

Doris worked as an assembler for Raytheon for over twenty years before retiring. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and jig saw puzzles.

She was the wife of the late Emile Caissie. Doris is also predeceased by four sons, Norman, Roger, Lauire and Michael Caissie and her sister, Irene Cormier.
Doris leaves her children, Irene Moran of Natick, Yvette Novicki (late Gerard) of Lincoln, Rhode Island, Bernice Caissie of Townsend and Francis Caissie of Woburn; thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Alcide Cormier and Annette Maillet, both of Bouctouche, N.B., Canada, Diana Cormier of Andover, and Norma Maillet of St. Marie, N.B., Canada; many nieces & nephews. Doris was also the great great grandmother of five.

Funeral services are private. A Memorial Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church at a time to be announced. Doris will be buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Ste. Marie, New Brunswick, Canada at the convenience of the family.
