Doris M. Darcy

Waltham - Mrs. Doris M. (Belliveau) Darcy of Waltham, died Monday, April 27, 2009 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 77.

Doris was born in Waltham on August 6, 1931, a daughter of the late Eugene and Adeline (Poirier) Belliveau and had been a lifelong Waltham resident. She was the cafeteria manager at Central Junior High School in Waltham for many years until her retirement in 1994.

The wife of the late John J. Darcy, Jr., she is survived by her children, Kevin M. Darcy and his wife, Karen, of Norfolk, Brian J. Darcy and his wife, Suzanne, and Debra M. Pelletier and her husband, Ron, all of Waltham; her brother, Gerald Belliveau of Pacifica, California; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Doris was also a sister of the late Stella Gellineau and Claudette LeBlanc.

Family and friends will honor and remember Doris' life by gathering for calling hours on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham where her funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
