Doris W. Downs

Weston – Mrs. Doris W. (White) Downs of Weston died Saturday, January 15, 2005 in Epoch Senior Healthcare Center, Weston. She was 88. Born in Cranston, Rhode Island, Mrs. Downs was raised and educated in Cranston and had been a Weston resident since 1964. Mrs. Downs was the wife of the late George L. Downs, the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Sunderland) White, and the sister of the late Samuel and Robert White. She is survived by her children, George S. Downs and his wife, Deanna, of Acton and Donald L. Downs and his partner, Richard Korb, of Manhattan, NYC; his grandchildren, Erica L. and Geoffrey S. Downs; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 22, at 12 Noon in the First Parish Church, 349 Boston Post Road, Weston. Memorial donations may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
