Ashburnham – Doris A. (Casella) Landry, of Ashburnham, died Friday, September 25, 2020 following a period of declining health. She was 54.
Doris was born in Waltham on December 15, 1965, a daughter of the late Louis J. and Mary L. (Maloney) Casella. She was a graduate of Waltham High School.
For years she worked in the accounting department of the Cains food products company and after that held the same position for the Hilton Hotel at Fort Devens.
Doris lived in Waltham and in Townsend for most of her life before moving to Ashburnham where for the past two years she delighted in helping to care for her adored granddaughters, Nora, and twins Claire and Elise.
Life, love, faith, family and friendship were her constant companions. Despite her lengthy battle with cancer Doris was able to volunteer hundreds of hours supporting causes close to her heart including The Boxer Rescue, Relay for Life and Marine Moms.
In addition to her granddaughters, she leaves her son, Scott M. Landry (Cheryl) of Ashburnham; her sisters, Carol A. Casella of Harvard, Linda M. Muscato of Fairfield, Connecticut and Joan M. Hamilton (David) of Hookset, New Hampshire and several nieces, nephews and their families.
She was also a sister of the late Sharon Casella.
Family and friends will honor and remember Doris' life by gathering for calling hours on Friday, October 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m.
