Waltham – Mrs. Doris M. (Doucet) Main, of Waltham, died Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 92.
Doris was born in Waltham on March 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Denis and Marguerite Doucet, and was a graduate of Saint Charles High School. A lifelong resident of Waltham, she and her family also spent many happy summers at their cottage in Wareham.
She had worked for a number of years for Waltham Chemical Company.
Doris and her late husband, Robert B. Main, married on October 11, 1952 in Saint Joseph's Church and enjoyed sixty-four happy years together before Bob's death on January 3, 2017.
She leaves her children, Janice L. Dooling (Glenn) of Beverly and Robert D. Main (Pamela) of Las Vegas, Nevada; her grandchildren, Michael and William Dooling; her sister, Marie Lemont of Fitchburg and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Doris was also a sister of the late Russell and Leonard Doucet.
Family and friends will honor and remember Doris's life by gathering to visit at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 26th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:15 p.m.
