Dorothy E. Connolly

Marlborough - Mrs. Dorothy E. (Gallagher) Connolly, of Marlborough, formerly of West Newton, Waltham and Onset, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 in Marlborough Hospital. She was 87. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Dolan) Gallagher, Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a 1938 graduate of Saint Charles High School in Waltham and had been a very active member of Saint Charles Women’s Club. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was the sister of the late Margaret Smith, William, Paul and Frances Gallagher She leaves her husband, John J. Connolly; her children, Peter Connolly and his wife, Maria, of Chelsea, Sheila Noah and her husband, Bruce, of Maynard, Ann Tom of Honolulu, Hawaii, Paul Connolly of Boxboro, Claire McNamara of Maynard, Marian Jarosz and her husband, John, of Seattle, Washington, John Connolly and his wife, Linda, of Westford, and Tom Connolly and his wife, Jackie, of Scottsdale, Arizona; one sister, Teresa Ohnemus of Yarmouthport, sixteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
