Oxford – Mrs. Dorothy P. (Clifford) Connor, of Oxford, died Thursday, August 4, 2011, one day shy of her 69th birthday at Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard Hospital in Webster.
Dorothy was born in Waltham on August 5, 1942, a daughter of the late Stephen F. and Dorothy (Yetten) Clifford. She lived in Framingham and in Auburn before moving to Oxford three years ago. Until her retirement she worked for Digital Equipment Company in Natick and in Maynard.
She leaves her children, Dorothy A. Mann and her husband, Brett, of Dudley, Jeffrey P. Connor of Dudley, Erin M. Jaffe and her husband, Rick, of Sharon, James M. Connor and his wife, Priscilla, of Dudley and Brian S. Connor and his wife, Ann, of Winchendon; her grandchildren, Angelique Carter, Monique Rousseau, Adam and Michael Jaffe, Kimberly, Trevor, Jacqueline and Wyatt Connor; her great-grandchildren, Tristen Perez, Jayden Williams, Jose and Keren Morales and Ricky Santana, Jr.; her brother, Paul Clifford and his wife, Margaret, of Mashpee and her longtime companion, Roger Bacon of Oxford.
Dorothy was also the grandmother of the late Robert J. Connor and sister of the late Stephen Clifford.
Family and friends will honor and remember Dorothy’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, August 8th, from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
