Dorothy T. Grady, of Arlington, died Sunday, August 23, 2009 in the Youville Hospital in Cambridge. She was 81. Dorothy was born on November 28, 1927 in Cambridge a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Rita (Travers) Grady. She was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. She lived in Arlington for over 25 years. Miss Grady was an administrator in the food services department at Harvard University in Cambridge for many years before retiring in 1991. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, John Leo Grady and her sister-in-law, Catherine F. Grady. She leaves her brother, Gerald J. Grady and his wife, Marjorie, of Natick; her nephew, John Leo Grady and his wife, Maureen, of Foxborough; her nieces, Catherine F. Giampa and her husband, Joel, of Bonita Springs, Florida, and Linda M. Grady of Waltham. She is also survived by many grand nieces and grand nephews. Family and friends will honor and remember Dorothy's life by gathering for a calling hour at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. on Thursday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude's Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge.
