Dorothy M. Hartman

Mrs. Dorothy M. (Gorman) Hartman of Waltham died Thursday September 1, 2005 at Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester. She was 93. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Charles H. and May E. (Angwin) Gorman, she worked for over twenty years as a bookkeeper for the Department of Social Services until her retirement She was a graduate of Jamaica Plain High School, and a member of Saint Mary’s Sodality as well as the mothers club. She was the wife of the late Frederick G. Hartman and sister of the late Charles Gorman and Theresa Baker. She is survived by two daughters Marilyn A. Sweeney and her husband Michael of Concord, Elaine M. Hartman of Shrewsbury, two grandchildren Gail E. Sweeney and Sharon L. Sweeney and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, 133 School Street Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery West Roxbury. Visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
