Waltham - Mrs. Dorothy E.(McKinnon) MacDonald, of Waltham, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Brighton House in Brighton. She was 75. Born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, a daughter of the late John and Dolena (Stewart) McKinnon, she was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Waltham. Dorothy for many years was also a family day care provider at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. MacDonald and sister of the late Alan McKinnon and John Stewart McKinnon. She was the loving mother of Paul A. MacDonald, Jr. and his companion, Robin Mcardle, of Waltham, Susan E. MacDonald and her husband, Patrick McGowan, of Waltham, John S. MacDonald and his wife, Ruth, of Manchester, New Hampshire, Karen M. Peterson and her husband, Kenneth, of Waltham, and Stephen J. MacDonald and his companion, Lynne Traskus, of Waltham. Dorothy also leaves eleven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Church Building Fund, 147 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02453.
