Dorothy A. Maher

Sudbury - Mrs. Dorothy A.(Powell) Maher, of Sudbury, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Sudbury Pines Extended Care Center in Sudbury. She was 82. Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Barry) Powell, she worked for many years as a secretary for the head of material handling for the Raytheon Corporation. She also worked part time for many years for Brandeis University. Mrs. Maher attended Fisher Junior College and had lived in Sudbury for over fifty years. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Maher and sister of the late Eileen Howe. She leaves two brothers, Stanley Powell of Sudbury and Robert Powell of Wilbraham; one sister, Marilyn Driscoll of Acton and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy’s Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday at 9 a.m. in Saint Luke’s Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont. Burial will be in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown.
