Waltham - Mrs. Dorothy J. (Quinn) Mahoney of Waltham, formerly of Lexington and Newton, died Saturday, May 21, 2005 at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital, Brighton. She was 83. Born in Brighton, a daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Devine) Quinn she was raised in Newton where she graduated from Our Lady Help of Christians High School. She lived in Lexington for fourteen years before moving to Waltham earlier this year. She leaves her husband, William E. Mahoney; three daughters, Janice L. Kerr and her husband Peter of L.I., NY, Ann M. Bestgen and her husband William of N. Easton and Christine Q. Grassey and her husband Brian of Franklin; her grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew and Jessica Kerr, Brad and Lauren Bestgen and Justine and Cole Grassey; one brother, Timothy L. McCarthy of FL; and one sister, Margaret Bearce of Montclair, NJ. She was also a sister of the late Mary J. McCarthy, Joseph McCarthy, Elizabeth Kelley and Theresa Ann Foley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 10 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 11 a.m. Committal services will be held Thursday at 11:30 am in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
