Dorothy F. McCarthy

Weston - Mrs. Dorothy F. (Totten) McCarthy of Weston died Monday December 5, 2005 at Maristhill Nursing Home in Waltham. She was 83. Born in Somerville, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Helen (Herlihy) Totten. Dorothy was a homemaker and had lived in Weston for the past fifty-two years. She was also a member of Saint Julia’s Ladies Sodality. She was the sister of the late Robert Totten and Paul Totten She is survived by her husband William J, McCarthy, Jr.; one daughter, Diane M. Everitt and her husband Robert, of Clinton, William J. McCarthy III of Norwood, and Shawn K. McCarthy and his wife Elaine, of Plainfield, New Hampshire; one sister, Roberta Landry of Florida; two grandchildren, Tucker and Dillon McCarthy and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Saint Julia’s Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Julia’s Church.
