Dorothy J. McKeon

Waltham - Mrs. Dorothy J.'Dot' (Aucoin) McKeon, of Waltham, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in Kindred Hospital, Brighton. She was 82. Mrs. McKeon was a lifelong Waltham resident. She was an avid bingo player, helping with the Our Lady's Church Bingo in Waltham. Mrs. McKeon also enjoyed dancing, shuffleboard, drawing, and cross stitching. Her favorite pastime was crosswood puzzles. Mrs. McKeon was the wife of the late Thomas F. McKeon, Jr., the daughter of the late Moses and Mary Helen (Doucette) Aucoin, and the sister of the late George Aucoin, Cathy Carmody, and Al Aucoin. She is survived by her children, Michael T. McKeon and his wife, Karen, Janet M. McKeon, and William G. McKeon all of Waltham; her sister, Dora Hoffses of York Beach, Maine and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Monday at 9:30 a.m. from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
