Dorothy H. Roach

Belmont - Mrs Dorothy Helen (Carney) Roach, of Belmont, died Monday May 25, 2009 at Maristhill Nursing Center in Waltham. She was 90. Dorothy was born on November 30, 1918, the only daughter of the late Martin and Dora (White) Carney, both from Waltham. She married Thomas Aquinas Roach of Waltham in 1942. Thomas died September 28, 1962. Dorothy leaves her children, Thomas Brian Roach of Belmont, David Joseph Roach and his wife, Sandy, of Framingham, Mary Kathleen Devin and her husband, Chris, of Quincy, Patricia Elizabeth Roach of Belmont, and their families, including five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Kevin Roach who died at birth. Family and friends will honor and remember Dorothy's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham.
