Waltham - Mr. Earl G. Nangle, of Waltham, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 in the Apple Valley Center in Ayer. He was 85. Mr. Nangle was born in Boston and had lived in Waltham for many years. He was employed as a machinist for Wade Tool, and in later years, Mr. Nangle worked as an electronic technician for Panametrics until his retirement in 1984. He was an amateur ham radio operator. Mr. Nangle served in the U.S. Army and, during World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Cogswell. Mr. Nangle was the husband of the late Ilene L. (Clark) Nangle, the son of the late Albert E. and Beatrice (Daniels) Nangle, and the brother of the late Albert E. Nangle, Jr. and Bertha Delaney. He is survived by his children, Erlene OReilly of Pepperell and Richard E. Nangle of Chandler, AZ; his sisters, Beatrice 'Chick' LaCroix of California and Edna Hornbeck of Waltham; his close friend, Marie Bibeau of Natick, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services and burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 24, from 3 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham.
