Earle Sidney Mooney

Columbia, N. J. - Mr. Earle Sidney Mooney, of Columbia, New Jersey, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He was 87. Born in Cambridge, a son of the late Earle J. and Gladys (Eastman) Mooney, Earle was a bus driver for many years for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority. Earle lived in Waltham for many years and was an avid golfer. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy. He was the husband of the late Norma M. (Robicheau) Mooney, father of the late William E. Mooney, and grandfather of the late Glenn Miley. He leaves one son, Robert L. Mooney of Columbia, New Jersey and one daughter, Janice M. Miley of South Yarmouth. Earle is also survived by three grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
