Lexington - Mrs. Edith M. (Keirstead) Neal, of Lexington, formerly of Waltham, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Golden Living Center of Lexington. She was 79. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Clifford L. and Ola P. (Foster) Keirstead, Edith was a chief clerk for H.P Hood Company in the Waltham and Charlestown plants for nineteen years until her retirement in 1970. She was a graduate of Waltham High School. Edith was the wife of the late Robert E. Neal, Jr. and sister of the late Richard F. Keirstead, Robert W. Keirstead, and Clifford L. Keirstead, Jr. Edith leaves three sisters, Edna L. Corazzini and her husband, Frederic, of Lexington, Betty Connerney and her husband, Manny, of Newton, and Phyllis A. Duplisea of Hudson; three brothers, Ronald D. Keirstead of Marion, Charles H. Keirstead and his wife, Janice Smith, of Quincy, and Frederick E. Keirstead and his wife, Denise, of Waltham; one sister-in-law, Connie Keirstead of Gilford, Connecticut and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 12 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, MA 02472.
