Edith M. Pineo

Waltham – Miss Edith M. Pineo of Waltham died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital on her 88th birthday. A lifelong Waltham resident, Miss Pineo worked at Grover Cronin’s Department Store. She also worked as a secretary for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers until her retirement. Miss Pineo was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Woodworth) Pineo and the sister of the late Lloyd Pineo, Marion W. Murphy, and Evelyn Lent and aunt of the late James Murphy, Ann Levi, Donald Lent, Charles Lent, Helen Breithaupt and Lorraine Murphy. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Marguerite Maher, Paul Murphy, Helen Dahlgren, Harry Murphy, Carol Murphy, David Lent and Eldin Pineo and her dear friends, Constance Campisi, Richard Rogers and Ronald Holmes. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 11 a.m. in Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
