Marlborough - Mrs. Edna C. (Goguen) Bardsley, of Marlborough, formerly of Waltham, died Monday June 16, 2008 at Oak Knoll Nursing Home in Framingham. She was 88. Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Maglorie and Helene (Devau) Goguen, Edna had lived in Waltham for many years before moving to Marlborough. She worked as an inspector for Jarrell-Ash Company in Waltham for many years before it became Fisher Scientific Company. Edna also worked as a housekeeper at Brandeis University. She was the wife of the late William G. Bardsley, mother of the late Kenneth W. Bardsley, and sister of the late Ned Goguen, Joseph Goguen, Beatrice Giruard, Louise Leger, Josephine Ward and Mabel Young. Edna leaves her daughter, Elizabeth L. Goguen and her husband, Paul, of Marlborough; her daughter-in-law, Mary Bardsley of Waltham; her grandchildren, Lynn, Steven, Andrea and Christina; one great-grandchild, Jessica and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Friday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street ( Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
