Waltham – Mrs. Edna M. (Robichaud) Hebert, of Waltham, died Saturday, March 14, 2009 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 92.
Edna was born on January 15, 1917 in Sainte Marie, New Brunswick, a daughter of the late Fidele and Josephine (Maillett) Robichaud, and had lived there before moving to Waltham seventy-two years ago. She had worked for many years as an assembler for Panametrics and General Electric in Waltham, retiring at the age of 88. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, bingo, and going to Foxwoods.
The wife of the late Edmond Hebert, she leaves her children, Roger Hebert of Waltham, Ronald Hebert and his wife, Sheila, of Clinton, and Edmond Hebert and his wife, Sandy, of Ayer; her daughter-in-law, Eileen Hebert of Marlboro; her brothers and sisters, Alderic Robichaud, Nelida Allain, and Florence Cormier all of New Brunswick, Diane Robichaud of Billerica, and Aline Cavalier and Yvonne Hebert both of Florida; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Edna was also the mother of the late Norman Hebert; sister of the late Arsene and Calixte Robichaud, Henrietta Boisvert, Marie Arsenault, and mother-in-law of the late Helene Hebert.
Family and friends will honor and remember Edna's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Thursday before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
