Edna M. Hornbeck

Waltham - Mrs. Edna M. (Nangle) Hornbeck, of Waltham, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in the Wingate Nursing Home in Sudbury. She was 92. Born in Boston, Mrs. Hornbeck had lived in Waltham since the age of 18. She was employed as a stitcher for the Arrow Manufacturing Company until her retirement. Prior to that she worked at R.H. Bird & Company in Waltham. Mrs. Hornbeck was the wife of the late Wilbur W. Hornbeck, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Beatrice E. (Daniels) Nangle, and the sister of the late Albert Nangle, Beatrice LaCroix, Earl Nangle, and Bertha Delaney. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Hornbeck and his wife, Edith, of Heidelburg, Germany, Beverly A. Hill and her husband, Frank, of Marlborough, and Sandra J. Neufell and her husband, Frank, of Grafton, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service Friday at 1 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Service on Friday from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
