Waltham Mr. Edvarese J. Ed Haché of Waltham died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. He was 81. Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, a son of the late Louis and Emilienne (Paulin) Haché, he moved to Waltham as a child and had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Assumption Preparatory School in Worcester and also attended Assumption College in Worcester. In 1943 he left college to join the U.S. Army, serving as a medic until the wars end in 1946. He later became an electrician, working until his retirement for Thomas LeBlanc & Sons of Waltham. Ed was a member of the French-American Victory Club of Waltham and the PFC John M. Sullivan USMC VFW Post No. 10334 in Waltham. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his hobbies included golf and photography. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Catherine M. Kay (Landry) Haché; his children, Richard L. Haché and his wife Elaine of Sudbury, Ronald E. Haché and his wife Christine of Waltham and Janet M. Fairfield and her husband Stephen of Wakefield; three sisters, Fernand Labbé of Westbrook, Maine, Sr. Claire Haché, JM of Maryland and Sr. Estelle Haché, JM of Wellesley; 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Leonard and Paul Haché. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9 a.m. Saturday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, cor. of River and Newton Sts., Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
