Waltham – Mr. Edward P. Belliveau, of Waltham died, Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was 86.
Ed was born in Waltham on September 15, 1925, a son of the late Louis and Alice (Fagan) Belliveau. During World War II he served with the United States Navy. Until his retirement Ed worked as a carpenter for the Waltham School Department for 36 years. He was also a part-time bartender at the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge No. 1018, in Waltham.
Ed was a devoted and loving husband and father. A talented woodworker, he enjoyed making things for his grandchildren. He was a quiet man who enjoyed playing pool and shuffleboard.
He leaves his wife, Rose T. (Scordamalgia) Belliveau; his children, Daniel E. Belliveau and his wife, Darlene, of Nashua, New Hampshire, Michelle M. Farella and her husband, Michael, of Fenton, Michigan and Maria E. Sloane of Watertown; his brother and sister, Arthur Belliveau of Tennessee and Leona Alessandro of Waltham; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was also the father of the late Edward L. Belliveau and a brother of the late Phillip Belliveau, Gerald Belliveau, Alia 'Al' Belliveau, Exelda Cabozzi, Rita Mobilia, and Jennie Connolly.
Family and friends will honor and remember Edward's life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Friday, November 4th, from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon when his funeral service will be held. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
