Weston – Attorney Edward T. Bigham, Jr., of Weston passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the age of 92.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie (Geisler) of Weston; his children, Penelope E. Comeau and her husband Phillip of Great Falls, Virginia, Deborah E. Bigham, Esq. of Waltham, Joan M. Bigham of Marlborough, Peter J. Bigham, MD and his wife, Kathleen, of Augusta, Georgia and Susan E. Bigham and her husband, Richard N. Fratto, of Weston; his grandchildren, Alisa and Jonathan Comeau, Christopher, Jennifer and Alexandria Connor, Peter, Andrew, Lauren, Lindsey and Thomas Bigham, Brian Fratto and 3 great grandchildren.
Ed was also the father of the late Edward T. Bigham, III, Esq.
After graduating as president of his Boston College Law School class, he was admitted to the Bar in 1953. Throughout his career he was dedicated to the legal profession, active in the Boston College Law School Fellows, President of the Middlesex Bar Association, delegate to the Massachusetts Bar Association, member of the Massachusetts Trial Lawyers and American Bar Association.
He served in the Navy's Underwater Demolition Teams, a predecessor to the current Navy SEALS, and was awarded a Bronze Star with Valor. Ed was an avid golfer, aviator and daily communicant.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Saint Julia's Church, 374 Boston Post Road, Weston at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
