Waltham – Mr. Edward S. Gear, of Waltham, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at home. He was 55.
Ed was born in Passaic, New Jersey on March 11, 1958 a son of Helen (Berezny) Gear of West Roxbury and the late William Gear. Raised and educated in Garfield, New Jersey he moved to Massachusetts in 1980.
Eddie was working as a truck driver for A. Russo & Sons in Watertown where he had been employed for over 15 years.
He had affection for animals including his cat, Angie. He had a great sense of humor and loved music, especially rock and roll.
In addition to his mother, Helen, he leaves his sisters, Cheryl Alves and her husband, John, of West Roxbury, Jean Lehoux and her husband, Phillip, of Lexington and Laurie Ford and her husband, Henry, of Brighton; his nieces and nephews Sean and Jamie Lehoux and Catherine and Erin Rose Ford.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ed's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, April 9th, from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by his funeral service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
