Edward Sherman Johnson

Auburndale – Mr. Edward Sherman Johnson, of Auburndale, formerly of Waltham, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Lexington Health Care Center. He was 88. Ed was born on April 6, 1919, a son of the late Sherman and Josephine (Hennessey) Johnson, and had lived in Waltham before moving to Auburndale more than twenty years ago. Until his retirement he worked as a machinist for D & R Products in Waltham. The husband of the late Mary (Ruane) (Lyons) Johnson he is survived by his son, Sherman Johnson; his step-son, Michael P. Lyons and his wife, Joan, of South Boston; two grandchildren, Meghan and Stephanie Lyons; his sisters-in-law, Harriet M. Lally and Joan E. Lally, both of Waltham and many nieces and nephews. Ed was a brother of the late Robert and Raymond Lally and Margaret Garrigan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services for Ed at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham.
