Edward D. Kaupelis

Worcester - Mr. Edward D. Kaupelis of Worcester, formerly of Waltham, died Friday September 24, 2010 in his home after a two year battle with cancer. He was 56.

Ed was born in Waltham on February 19, 1954, a son of the late John and Maryann (Gosselin) Kaupelis, and had lived in Waltham for most of his life before moving to Worcester three years ago. He was a 1973 graduate of Waltham High School.

He leaves his loving wife and best friend, Susan L. (Carr) Kaupelis; his children, Brian Kaupelis of Georgia and Gary Kaupelis of Florida; his granddaughter, Sahria Kaupelis; one sister, Cynthia Kaupelis and her significant other, Galen ‘Wayne’ Hesseltine, of Holden, Maine; four brothers, Richard Kaupelis and his wife, MaryJane, of Florida, Ralph Kaupelis of East Boston, Wayne Kaupelis and his wife, Vincie, of Waltham and Robert Kaupelis and his wife, Deborah, of Arizona; his mother-in-law, Corinne Carr-LeBlanc and her husband Albert LeBlanc of Oceanside, California; his brother-in-law, David Carr and his wife, Diane, of Waltham; his sister-in-law, Diane Carr and her husband, Lee Straate, of Brookfield, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

Ed was also a brother of the late Douglas A. Kaupelis, Gary B. Kaupelis, Kenneth J. Kaupelis and son-in-law of the late Chester Carr.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ed’s life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Saturday, October 2nd, from 2 to 3 p.m. followed his funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
