Waltham – Mr. Edward K. Nugent, II, of Waltham, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. He was 51. Ed was born in West Newton on August 30, 1958, a son of Lucille T. (Weston) Nugent of Marlborough and the late Edward K. Nugent. He was raised and educated in West Newton and had been a resident of Waltham for thirty years. Ed was a home health aide for over eighteen years. He attended the Oblite Seminary for six years and attended Mass in the Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Catholic Cathedral and Saint Mary's Church in Waltham. He was also involved with the EWTN Global Catholic Network. In addition to his mother, Ed is survived by his sister, Diane M. Biddy, and her husband, Edward, of Waltham, his nephews, Joseph and Nicholas, and his niece, Stephanie. Memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham, MA 02451; the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115; or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Family and friends will honor and remember Ed's life by gathering for his Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Thursday morning in Saint Mary's Church, 133 School Street, Waltham. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
