Edward S. O'Neill

Waltham – Mr. Edward S. O'Neill, Sr., of Waltham, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 73.

Ed was born in Boston on January 8, 1945, a son of the late Charles and Emma (Carll) O'Neill, and was raised in Brighton. After graduating from Brighton High School Ed served with the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

A Waltham resident for the past forty-one years he was a self-employed electrician.

Ed leaves his wife of fifty-one years, Peggy (MacKenzie) O'Neill; his children, Tracy L. O'Neill (Glenn Duke) of Charlton and Edward S. O'Neill, Jr. (Dawn) of Littleton; his grandchildren, Ross, Emma and Keith O'Neill; his sister, Dorothy J. Waggoner (George) of Waltham and many nieces and nephews.

He was also the father of the late Lori C. Glaubius and a brother of the late Charles and Robert O'Neill.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ed's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Tuesday, April 3rd from 4 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning when his funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
