Edward J. Ryan

Mr. Edward J. Ryan, of Chelsea, formerly of Acton and Waltham, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 in The Soldiers Home in Chrlsea. He was 93. Edward was a chef for the Bowen family in Concord for over 40 years, retiring in 1991. He was born January 13, 1914 in Jamaica Plain, son of the late Edward and Mary (Cunniff) Ryan. His siblings, John A. Ryan, Mary Gaidys and Margaret “Peg” Thomas predeceased him. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He leaves a sister, Anne Westall of Williamstown and many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m. in The Soldiers Home Chapel, 93 Crest Street, Chelsea. Burial will be private.
