Edward P. Taras

Waltham – Mr. Edward P. Taras, of Waltham, formerly of Jamaica Plain and Westwood, died on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. He was 89.
Ed was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on February 10, 1925, the son of the late Kazmir and Amelia (Shodloska) Tarasewicz. During World War II he served in the United States Army Air Corp. Until his retirement he had worked as an iron worker and was a member of the Local 7. One of his passions was golf and he particularly enjoyed playing at Norfolk Golf Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene H. (Pertrowicz) Taras and his daughter, Chrisann Taras and her husband, Jerome E. Nocera, of Waltham.
He was also a brother of the late Adam Tarasewicz.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
