Waltham Mr. Edwin C. E.C. Butler of Waltham died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Saint Elizabeths Medical Center, Brighton. He was 78. Born in Weston, a son of the late Heber and Mary (Doucette) Butler, he had lived in Waltham for the past seventy-five years. Mr. Butler was the founder of E.C. Butler Furniture and Upholstering Company on High Street in Waltham. During World War II he served with the United States Marine Corps. He had been a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge No. 1018 in Waltham, the Waltham Housing Authority Board of Directors and the Waltham Rent Review Board. He leaves his wife of fifty-seven years, Marion T. (Muise) Butler; his children, James M. Butler, Karen T. Murphy, Janis M. Thomas and her husband, Stephen and William H. Butler and his wife, Donna, all of Waltham; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Heber, Paul and Theresa Butler, Mary Coleman and Lois Boehm Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Jude Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
