Waltham – Mrs. Eileen J. (Squires) Druken, of Waltham, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 99.

Eileen was born in St. Philip's, Newfoundland on March 19, 1916, a daughter of the late William and Margaret (Thorpe) Squires. Since her move to Waltham more than seventy years ago she was a devoted member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church. Until her retirement Eileen worked as a domestic at private homes in Weston.

She was the sister of the late Mary Dawson, Amelia Murphy, Lucy Szabo, Gertrude Squires, Theresa Murphy and William Squires and is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families for whom she became the family matriarch and much loved aunt.

Family and friends will honor and remember Eileen's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, September 10th from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 9 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 51 Hall Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
