Waltham- Mrs. Eileen M. (Molloy) (Riley) Maguire of Waltham died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at New England Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Stoughton after a long illness. She was 82. Mrs. Maguire was a member of the Waltham Junior Womens Club, Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church Ladies Sodality, American Legion Post No. 156 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, a volunteer at the Fernald School, a member of the Waltham Ballroom Dance Club, as well as an accomplished ballroom dancer. She also worked for many years as an assistant to Dr. Albert Perna of Waltham. Mrs. Maguire was a graduate of Saint Josephs Girls High School in Somerville. Mrs. Maguire was the wife of the late John G. Riley and sister of the late James, Thomas, and Joseph Molloy. She is survived by her husband, former Waltham City Councillor and State Representative Joseph T. Maguire; her children Eileen M. Corcoran and her husband, William of Waltham, John G. Maguire and his wife, Rosemary (Gage) of Waltham, Joseph T. Maguire, Jr. and his wife, Linda (Pittman) of Dunstable, Susan L. Holsing and her husband, Christopher of North Reading, and Kevin E. Maguire and his wife, Felicia (Rocha) of Irving, VA; her sisters, Mrs. Frances Winterson of Arlington, Mrs. Margaret Slattery of Medford; her brothers, Philip Molloy of Canton, and Patrick Molloy of Oregon. She was a beloved grandmother of eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and also leaves many nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Eileen M. Maguire Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens Bank, Lexington Street Waltham, MA 02451.
