Elaine P. Davis

Stow – Mrs. Elaine P. (Petterson) Davis, of Stow, died Friday, May 19, 2023 in Bear Mountain of Reading Nursing Home. She was 93.

Born in Milton on February 12, 1930, Elaine was the daughter of the late Axel and Margaret (Cassidy) Petterson. Raised in Waltham she was a graduate of Saint Charles High School. Elaine enlisted in the United States Air Force in August, 1950 and served as a photographer for three years before her honorable discharge.

She attended Vesper George Art School and had worked for many years as a key punch operator for J. L. Thompson Co. in Waltham. She had lived in Vermont, New Mexico, and Texas, before returning to Massachusetts in 2016. In addition to her photographic abilities she enjoyed painting and gardening.

The wife of the late James G. Davis, she leaves her children, James G. Davis, Jr. (Reva) of Maynard, Susan D. Ormond (Joseph) of Stow, and Carol A. Dube (Lenny) of Texas; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
