Elaine F. (Field) Libertini

Elaine was born on September 9, 1936 in Lark Harbour, Newfoundland, Canada, a daughter of the late Frederick and Myrtle (Sheppard) Field. She was raised and educated in Newfoundland and immigrated to the United States when she was 22. She worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was proud of her time working on the United States Air Force Base in Germany.  She married Watertown native, the late Anthony R. Libertini on July 18, 1969 and the pair settled in Watertown to raise their family. They moved to Waltham in 1994 and had been residents since. 

Her faith was an important part of her life. While in Watertown she was an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd. When they moved to Waltham she attended Christ Church, belonging to the Women’s evening group there.

She leaves her children, Mark A. Libertini (Rachel Kellner) of Forest Hills, Queens, New York and Christina E. Libertini of Waltham; her grandchildren, Antonio and Nicholas Libertini and Jacob Kellner; her brother Frederick Field (Alice) of Kilbride, Newfoundland, Canada, along with many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her Late Husband Anthony, she was predeceased by her sister Ena Porter and her brother Robert Field.

Family and friends will honor and remember Elaine's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, February 9th from 4 to 6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery in Watertown will be private.
