Elaine A. (Mogan) Sennett

Mrs. Elaine A. Sennett, of Waltham, died on Sunday, February 25, 2024 in Marist Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was 86. 

Elaine was born May 3, 1937 in Waltham a daughter of the late John B. Mogan, Jr. and Mary C. (Hines) Mogan. Raised and educated in Waltham she remained a lifetime resident. She was married to the late Paul E. Sennett until his death on March 15, 2019. 

Elaine worked at area grocery stores including Stop & Shop in Watertown and the former Waltham Supermarket on Main Street. In addition to her large extended family that she cherished, she also loved bingo. 

In addition to her husband, Paul, she is predeceased by her siblings, William J. Mogan, John B. Mogan III, Michael J. Mogan, Edward T. Mogan, Warren Mogan, Elizabeth V. Hawkes and Lucy P. Mogan; in-laws, Robert Maloney and Richard Carroll; four nephews.

She leaves her siblings, Linda M. Carroll and Allan J. Mogan (Elaine) all of Waltham, M. Joan Maloney of Plainville, Mary L. Mathis (Richard) of Oakdale, Connecticut and Shirley G. Vasta (Vinny) of Florida; many nieces & nephews and their extended families. 

Family and friends will honor and remember Elaine’s life by gathering for visitation in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham, on Saturday, March 2^nd from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial in Mount Feake Cemetery is private.
