Eleanor M. Govone

Waltham- Mrs. Eleanor M. (Govoni) Govone of Waltham died Saturday February 21, 2004 at Metro West Medical Center, Framingham. She was 84. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Terzo and Ernesta(Campana) Govoni, Mrs. Govone was a Waltham School Teacher in the Waltham Public School for thirty years before her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Govone loved to read, dine out at various restaurants and volunteer at Saint Zepherin Church in Wayland. Mrs. Govone was the wife of the late Dr. William L. Govone, mother of the late William L. Govone, and sister of the late Stanley Govoni. She is survived by her daughter Linda M. Govone and her husband Normand Viens of Framingham. The Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Zepherin Church, 99 Main Street, Wayland at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours Tuesday 3-7 p.m. Donations in Mrs. Govone’s memory to the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, 200 Westboro Rd., North Grafton, MA 01536 would be appreciated.
