Eleanor M. Maillet

Waltham – Mrs. Eleanor M. (Short) Maillet of Waltham died Sunday, June 6, 2004 in the Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Weston. She was 89. A lifelong Waltham resident, Mrs. Maillet was a registered nurse until her retirement. Mrs. Maillet was the wife of the late Arcade J. Maillet and James Walter Ahlman, the grandmother of the late Susan Ahlman, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Effie A. (Brigham) Short; and the sister of the late Thomas Short, Virginia Freeman, and Marian Jones. She is survived by her sons, Albert E. Ahlman of Hooksett NH, James W. Ahlman Jr. of Woburn, David B. Ahlman of Ashby, and Stephen R. Ahlman of Englewood FL; her brother, Robert Short of Waltham; her sister, Marjorie Barter of Waltham, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 pm.
