Eleanor was born in Waltham on June 14, 1920, one of three daughters of the late William and Ann (Campbell) McDonald.
She graduated from Waltham High School and worked as a customer service representative at the New England Telephone Company. She lived in Sandwich for many years before returning to Waltham five years ago.
Eleanor was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert Mitchell and her sisters, Ann Bosworth and Marie Drury.
She leaves nieces, nephews and their families.
