Waltham—Ms. Eleanor A. Tuccio, of Waltham, died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Mount Auburn Hospital. She was 89 years old.
Eleanor was born in Waltham on March 2, 1931 to the late Joseph and Rosalia (Franchina) Tuccio. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
She was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church on River Street and loved to travel to her parent's native Italy as well as to New Jersey and Florida. Following her forty-plus year career at the New England Telephone Company she became a lifelong member of the Telephone Pioneers. She also loved spending time with family and had been the loving caregiver for parents in their later years.
She leaves her sister Alice L. Reale of Falmouth and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
Funeral services and burial in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham will be private. A Memorial Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Waltham to be held at a later date will be announced.
