Waltham – Mrs. Eleanore J. (Foley) Krampits, Of Waltham, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 78.
Eleanore was born in Waltham on December 4, 1931, a daughter of the late John and Martha (Buzzell) Foley, and was a life-long Waltham resident. She was a graduate of Waltham High School, class of 1949.
She worked as an administrative assistant for 35 years for the City of Waltham in the Treasurer’s Office for Paul Keating, the former assistant treasurer. She retired in 2002. She loved her work at City Hall and the friendships that came as a result of her many years spent working in the treasurer’s office.
Eleanore was active with the Waltham Senior Center and enjoyed its many activities and day trips. She was also active in the Waltham Art Lottery. She enjoyed time spent with her sisters-in-law, Pat and June Foley of Waltham. She will be missed by the many neighbors and friends whom she would see on a daily walk with her beloved Pekinese dog, ‘Shadow’.
She leaves her children, Frederick R. Krampits of Roseville, California, Mark W. Krampits and his wife, Myong, of Portland, Oregon and Donna Jean White of Natick; two sisters, Emma Buckley of Billerica and Mary McKay of Roslindale; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles ‘Jerry’ and William G. Foley.
Family and friends will honor and remember Eleanore’s life by gathering to visit in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
