Mrs. Elizabeth J. (Norcross) Bell, of Waltham, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Belmont Manor Nursing Facility. She was 89.
Born on April 5, 1929 in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada she was a daughter of the late Warren and Mildred (Patriquin) Norcross. She immigrated to the United States as an infant and was raised and educated in Waltham where she graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1947. She married James L. Bell on March 10, 1951 in Waverly Oaks Congregational Church in Belmont. Jim died February 13, 1998. Prior to the birth of her son she had worked as a secretary for the former New England Trust Company and then remained at home to raise her children.
She had a love for animals and nature and kept active each day with long walk.
She leaves her children, James L. Bell and his wife, Bernice Rourke-Bell of Bellingham and Joanne E. Bell and her husband, Michael Conley of Waltham; her grandchildren, Autumn Silver and her husband, Mark, Austin Beecy and Emily Day and her husband, Alan; her brother, Richard Norcross and his wife, Ruth of Arlington; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
