Elizabeth A. Burke

Waltham – Mrs. Elizabeth A. (Boothby) Burke of Waltham died Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at Meadow Green Nursing Home, Waltham. She was 77. Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Vinal and Susan (Prince) Boothby, she lived in Watertown where she graduated from high school. She returned to live in Waltham for most of her life. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Burke and leaves her children, Bruce E. Burke and his wife Dorinne of Waltham and Susan Burke of Maine; her grandchildren, Kevin and Keith Burke and Alyson LaFraniere; one brother, William Boothby of Foxboro; one sister, Dorothy Smyly of Florida; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Judith Lane and sister of the late Alan Boothby. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday October 29th in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9-10 a.m.
